Terms of service
These Terms and Conditions ("Agreement") govern the use of facilities and services provided by Lite Sounds Studio (“Studio,” “we,” “us”). By booking, using, or entering the studio, you (“Client”) and any accompanying guests agree to be legally bound by this Agreement.
1. Consent & Acceptance
If you or your guests do not agree to these Terms & Conditions, you may not use the services of Lite Sounds Studio.
If you make a payment and later refuse to accept the Terms, your payment will be forfeited. No refunds will be given.
All clients and guests are expected to re-read these terms prior to each session, as they may be updated at any time without notice.
2. Booking & Payments
Bookings are confirmed only upon full payment, processed via Stripe, in USD.
Studio sessions are booked in 1 hour and half blocks, and include setup and teardown.
If your session is followed by another booking, you must vacate promptly at your session end time.
For bookings outside business hours (7 AM – 6 PM, Mon–Fri), please contact the Studio directly. A surcharge applies.
The Studio is closed on bank holidays and during Christmas, New Year, and Easter.
3. Cancellations & Refund Policy
Cancellations with 48+ hours' notice: Full refund
24–48 hours' notice: 50% refund
Less than 24 hours' notice or no-show: No refund
Refunds are issued to the original payment method within 5–10 business days.
4. Studio Conduct & Member Rules
By booking or attending a session, you agree to abide by the Rules of Lite Sounds Studio. Failure to comply may result in immediate termination of your session without refund. Prohibited actions include, but are not limited to:
Abusive behavior toward staff or other clients — including offensive, threatening, racist, sexist, or inappropriate language or conduct.
Aggressive or violent behavior
Smoking, vaping, or use of illegal drugs on premises
Alcohol consumption is prohibited during standard sessions. Exceptions may be made for live shows or events with prior written approval.
5. Studio Equipment & Liability
All equipment is provided “as is” and must be used responsibly.
You are financially responsible for any damage or theft of Studio property, and the cost will be charged to the card on file.
Theft will result in police involvement, and footage may be submitted as evidence.
Clients are advised to obtain personal insurance to cover injury, loss, or damage. Lite Sounds Studio is not responsible for:
Personal injury
Loss of personal property
Damages arising from use of our facilities or equipment
6. Technical Disruptions
We strive for professional-grade reliability, but human error, equipment malfunction, or software issues may occur.
Lite Sounds Studio may, at its sole discretion, reschedule a session due to its own technical or operational failure.
However, if a session must be canceled or rescheduled due to the client’s own error or equipment failure, the client remains financially responsible for the booking cost.
7. Recording Access & Storage
Session recordings will be made available:
Online within 24 hours
Immediately on-site if you provide a compatible USB drive large enough for file transfer
Files are hosted online for 14 days, after which they may be deleted unless extended access has been purchased.
We may store raw recording files offline for up to 30 days, but retrieval is not guaranteed without a support package or add-on.
Lite Sounds Studio is not liable for lost, corrupted, or deleted files after the stated hosting window has expired.
8. Content Rights & Responsibility
You retain full ownership of your recorded content.
You are solely responsible for securing all rights, licenses, and permissions for:
Guest appearances
Third-party music or samples
Copyrighted works
By using the Studio, you agree to:
Take full responsibility for any copyright, licensing, or royalty obligations.
Indemnify and hold harmless Lite Sounds Studio for any legal actions, claims, or liabilities resulting from your content or use of third-party materials.
9. Promotional Use of Content
With your permission and where allowed by law, we may use behind-the-scenes footage, session excerpts, or photos for:
Social media
Website portfolios
Marketing or promotional campaigns
We will never use your content to misrepresent you or your brand.
You may opt-out at any time unless otherwise agreed.
10. Personal Property & Surveillance
The Studio is not responsible for lost or stolen personal belongings.
Common areas may be under video surveillance for safety and loss prevention.
Surveillance does not extend to restrooms or private changing areas.
11. Limitation of Liability
Lite Sounds Studio shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
Maximum liability is limited to the amount paid for the session during which the issue occurred.
This site and its components are offered for informational purposes only. We make no guarantees about the accuracy or availability of any content published on our site and are not liable for any errors or omissions.
12. Legal & Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, with exclusive jurisdiction in San Diego County.
Disputes will be handled in accordance with California law in appropriate courts located in San Diego.
13. Modifications
We reserve the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time without notice. It is the client’s responsibility to review this document before each session.
